On 29 March, “UMO UKRAINE” team attended the nationwide tournament in the FPV-drone racing section, as well as a test tournament in the BOMBER and GRS mission sections, organised by the Federation of Military Technological Sports of Ukraine.

The participants demonstrated their skills in four categories:
- FPV-drone racing was a familiar and well-loved format where speed, accuracy and tactics played a crucial role. The teams included both UAV manufacturers and military personnel.
- The manoeuvres of ground robotic systems were the first test competitions where operators tested themselves and their robotic systems in mining and racing tasks.
- Bomber (precision strikes) was a simulated attack on targets from the air, a new format that opened up prospects for precision strikes.
- Laser tag (combat) – 6×6 team battles in a trench battle format that recreated the realities of modern warfare.
Despite the ballistic missile alert, two panel discussions were held with the participation of Matviy Bidnyi, Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, and Kateryna Chornohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, to discuss important topics:
- Military-technological sport as a new way to improve the country’s defence capability.
- How does technology change the course of war?
The tournament included an exhibition of military technologies, where Ukrainian manufacturers presented their developments.
This event brought together about 30 military companies united by a single goal – the destruction of the enemy.
The event demonstrated the high level of training of the participants and the actively developing technological potential.
We are sincerely grateful to the organisers for the invitation, professional approach and promotion of military-technological sport in Ukraine!
